Which Dynavin model fits my VW Crafter?
For the VW Crafter, the following models are particularly suitable:
DS-CA and D10-CA Premium (10.1 inch) – specifically developed for VW Crafter and MAN TGE
Additionally available:
DS-MB10V / D10-MB10V
DS-DF427 / D10-DF427
All devices feature vehicle-specific CAN-Bus adapters and original connectors for true plug-and-play installation.
How difficult is it to install a Dynavin navigation system in my VW Crafter?
Most owners complete the installation in 1–2 hours. Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium both use the same connectors and wiring harness as the original radio — no cutting, no soldering, and no coding required. The Dynavin Slim is even easier to install thanks to its thinner, more integrated one-piece design. Free HD video tutorials are available on the Dynavin YouTube channel, and certified installation partners are available across Germany.
What is the difference between Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium?
Dynavin Slim runs on a lightweight Linux system and is optimised for fast, stable Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Dynavin 10 Premium runs a full Android 14 system and adds offline navigation (Dynaway), a Head-Up Display, a more powerful digital amplifier, and access to the Google Play Store. Both retain original vehicle functions. Real-time traffic alerts via Dynavin Connect are included free on the Dynavin 10 Premium (and can also be displayed on the HUD). On the Dynavin Slim, you can try Dynavin Connect free. After the 31-day free trial, only a one-time payment is required for permanent activation at flex.dynavin.com.
What if my VW Crafter has the Dynaudio sound system?
Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium are both compatible with the original Dynaudio sound system. You only need the optional MOST adapter D8-MO150-V. After installation, the premium speakers continue to work, and you can further adjust the sound with the built-in DSP and vehicle-specific sound profiles.
Is there a difference in sound quality between Dynavin Slim and D10 Premium?
Both models come with professionally measured, vehicle-specific sound profiles for the VW Crafter. The Dynavin 10 Premium has a more powerful digital Class-D amplifier (4×100W), while the Dynavin Slim uses an analog amplifier. In most cases, no speaker upgrade is required on either model.
Does the Dynavin Slim support DAB+?
DAB/DAB+ is available on the Dynavin Slim with the optional DS-DAB tuner (sold separately). On the Dynavin 10 Premium, DAB/DAB+ is built in as standard.
Will I get error codes or warning lights after installation?
No. Dynavin uses a vehicle-specific CAN-Bus solution specially developed for the VW Crafter. All vehicle systems – TPMS, climate control, parking sensors – continue to function perfectly without triggering any error codes or warning lights.
How long is the warranty and how does support work in case of problems?
All Dynavin devices come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. In case of any issues, you can open a ticket at any time via our Support Center to receive fast and competent assistance from the Dynavin team.
