What is the difference between Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium?
Dynavin Slim runs on a lightweight Linux system and is optimised for fast, stable Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Dynavin 10 Premium runs a full Android 14 system and adds offline navigation (Dynaway), a Head-Up Display, a more powerful digital amplifier, and access to the Google Play Store. Both retain original vehicle functions. Real-time traffic alerts via Dynavin Connect are included free on the Dynavin 10 Premium (and can also be displayed on the HUD). On the Dynavin Slim, you can try Dynavin Connect free. After the 31-day free trial, only a one-time payment is required for permanent activation at flex.dynavin.com.
Will the original functions (steering wheel controls, climate control, parking sensors, Dynaudio) still work?
Yes. Both the Dynavin Slim and the Dynavin 10 Premium fully retain all original VW functions. Both models use a vehicle-specific CAN-Bus solution. Steering wheel controls, Climatronic, parking sensors and the Dynaudio sound system continue to work perfectly. No error codes or warning lights will appear.
Will the original VW reverse camera with dynamic guidelines still work?
Yes. On newer models such as the Golf 7, the original reverse camera is generally supported directly — on both the Dynavin Slim and the Dynavin 10 Premium. On older generations (e.g. Golf 6), the optional adapter DVN-VCR-A may be required to use the original camera including dynamic guidelines. Aftermarket cameras with a cinch connection work without an adapter.
Does the Dynavin Slim support DAB+?
DAB/DAB+ is available on the Dynavin Slim with the optional DS-DAB tuner (sold separately). On the Dynavin 10 Premium, DAB/DAB+ is built in as standard.
