How difficult is it to install a Dynavin navigation system in my VW Arteon?
Most owners complete the installation in 1–2 hours. Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium both use the same connectors and wiring harness as the original radio — no cutting, no soldering, and no coding required. The Dynavin Slim is even easier to install thanks to its thinner, more integrated design. Free HD video tutorials are available on the Dynavin YouTube channel. Certified installation partners are available across Germany.
Which Dynavin model fits my VW Arteon?
For the VW Arteon, the DS-55 and D10-55 Premium models are particularly suitable. These 10.1-inch units come with vehicle-specific CAN-Bus adapters and original connectors for true plug-and-play installation.
What is the difference between Dynavin Slim and Dynavin 10 Premium?
Dynavin Slim runs on a lightweight Linux system and is optimised for fast, stable Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Dynavin 10 Premium runs a full Android 14 system and adds offline navigation (Dynaway), a Head-Up Display, a more powerful digital amplifier, and access to the Google Play Store. Both retain original vehicle functions. Real-time traffic alerts via Dynavin Connect are included free on the Dynavin 10 Premium (and can also be displayed on the HUD). On the Dynavin Slim, you can try Dynavin Connect free. After the 31-day free trial, only a one-time payment is required for permanent activation at flex.dynavin.com.
Will the original functions (steering wheel buttons, climate control, parking sensors, Dynaudio) still work?
Yes. Both the Dynavin Slim and the Dynavin 10 Premium fully retain all original VW functions. Both models use a vehicle-specific CAN-Bus solution. Steering wheel controls, Climatronic, parking sensors and the Dynaudio sound system continue to work perfectly. No error codes or warning lights will appear.
Note: For full Dynaudio support, the optional MOST adapter D8-MO150-V is required.
Will I get error codes or warning lights after installation?
No. Dynavin uses a CAN-Bus solution specially developed for the VW Arteon. All vehicle systems continue to work without triggering any error codes or warning lights.
Can I update the Dynavin to a newer software version later?
Yes. Both the Dynavin Slim and the Dynavin 10 Premium receive regular software updates. Updates are typically performed via USB on both platforms. The updates improve stability and compatibility with CarPlay and Android Auto.
How long is the warranty and how does support work in case of problems?
All Dynavin devices come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. In case of any issues, you can open a ticket at any time via our Support Center to receive fast and competent assistance from the Dynavin team.
