Is the installation really Plug & Play? Does the dashboard need to be modified?
Yes, the Dynavin JP is a true Plug & Play solution specially developed for the Jeep Wrangler JK (2007–2017). Thanks to the integrated CAN-Bus adapter, it connects seamlessly to the vehicle’s electronics. Installation only requires removing the original radio and connecting the supplied plugs – no cutting or shortening of any wiring harnesses is needed. On the 10.1-inch version, a slight adjustment of the trim frame may be necessary (clearly demonstrated in the official installation video). Most customers complete the DIY installation in about 1–2 hours. We also offer a professional installation service. We strongly recommend watching the official installation video to avoid scratches or rattling noises.
Are the steering wheel controls, the original amplifier and the subwoofer fully retained?
Yes, all factory functions remain 100 % intact! The CAN-Bus integrator ensures that the steering wheel controls (volume, track change, phone and voice assistant) work perfectly. The original amplifier, subwoofer, fader/balance and 16-band EQ settings are fully compatible. Many users even report a noticeable improvement in sound quality – without any additional adapters or modifications.
How well do Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto perform?
The system supports both wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. The wireless connection (Bluetooth + Wi-Fi) is fast and stable, with automatic reconnection as soon as you get in the vehicle. Split-screen display (e.g. navigation + music) is fully supported. Switching between two smartphones is usually straightforward. Most Jeep drivers use Wireless CarPlay almost exclusively and are very satisfied with it.
Where is the microphone located and how is the call quality?
Digital noise-cancelling microphones are supplied. They are installed discreetly in the dashboard area (usually above the high-beam indicator). Call quality is very good – even at higher speeds or with the soft top open. If the position is not ideal, we are happy to help you adjust it.
How is the DAB+ reception and sound quality?
The system comes with a high-quality DAB+/DAB antenna and switches seamlessly to FM if the digital signal weakens. On soft-top models, reception may vary slightly depending on antenna position – a signal booster solves this in most cases. Thanks to the DSP with 16-band EQ and time alignment, the system sounds significantly better than the original radio.
What warranty and support do I receive?
Dynavin is a German company (Dynavin GmbH) with local customer support. All products come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty and access to free software updates.
